A New Journey…
I have decided to take a bit of a turn with this blog. It was a place that I posted funny things I found on the Internet, and I will still do that when I come across something funny, but I am also planning on writing about my journey to find my life’s purpose. I have written below a short version of the last year in my life, and I plan to write future posts with a bit more detail, but I thought I would give you a little taster first.
It was about a year ago that I started to become more aware of the fact that there was more to my life than going to a job that I didn’t love and feeling like I had no purpose in life. I then decided to seriously start my quest into the world of spirituality and intuitive living. I has started reading books on developing your intuition, but I felt like I needed something more hands on.
I went to a class on Reiki Energy Healing and completed my Level One Reiki and received my certificate. This was the start to my journey in intuitive development. I am really glad I took that course and I think it’s a great way to start out. I did a lot of self-healing practice and I really started to feel like there was so much more to learn.
At the same time, I was also going to a meditation circle that met once a month and did different meditation exercises, which was really neat too. I found it a bit overwhelming the first time because I am able to feel the energy of other people fairly well and I wasn’t quite sure on how to block out the energy of the different people at the time. The second time around was a bit easier on me! This was another great way for me to start out my development.
About 6 months later I was able to start seeing a mentor regularly and have been seeing her every month since. We have been working on meditations, self-discovery and other exercises to help develop my intuition. It has been an amazing couple of months (4-5) so far! I have learned a lot and I feel like I am growing every day. I am becoming more and more aware of where my gifts lie.
I am looking forward to blogging about my progress and sharing my stories with you!
