A New Journey…

I have decided to take a bit of a turn with this blog.  It was a place that I posted funny things I found on the Internet, and I will still do that when I come across something funny, but I am also planning on writing about my journey to find my life’s purpose.  I have written below a short version of the last year in my life, and I plan to write future posts with a bit more detail, but I thought I would give you a little taster first.

It was about a year ago that I started to become more aware of the fact that there was more to my life than going to a job that I didn’t love and feeling like I had no purpose in life.  I then decided to seriously start my quest into the world of spirituality and intuitive living.  I has started reading books on developing your intuition, but I felt like I needed something more hands on. :) I went to a class on Reiki Energy Healing and completed my Level One Reiki and received my certificate.  This was the start to my journey in intuitive development.   I am really glad I took that course and I think it’s a great way to start out.  I did a lot of self-healing practice and I really started to feel like there was so much more to learn.

At the same time, I was also going to a meditation circle that met once a month and did different meditation exercises, which was really neat too.  I found it a bit overwhelming the first time because I am able to feel the energy of other people fairly well and I wasn’t quite sure on how to block out the energy of the different people at the time.  The second time around was a bit easier on me!  This was another great way for me to start out my development.

About 6 months later I was able to start seeing a mentor regularly and have been seeing her every month since.  We have been working on meditations, self-discovery and other exercises to help develop my intuition.  It has been an amazing couple of months (4-5) so far!  I have learned a lot and I feel like I am growing every day.  I am becoming more and more aware of where my gifts lie.

I am looking forward to blogging about my progress and sharing my stories with you!

One Response to “A New Journey…”

  • Very cool. One thing I love about Blogging my journey is that years later I can go back and see where I was at, at different points along the journey.

You’re gonna love being able to come back here one day to see what you’ve written.

I’m very proud of your progress so far. Keep going!
